The Trenčín Ornaments bracelet, made of rhodium-plated brass and complemented with enamel, represents a mosaic fragment from the Trenčín region transformed into a contemporary, timeless piece of jewelry.
The color palette of the bracelet is inspired by the visual identity of the Trenčín European Capital of Culture 2026 event.
TRENČÍN
The rhythmic composition of stitches shaped geometric patterns into mosaic compositions and symbols inspired by nature. These ornaments were also characteristic of the Trenčín region. Especially in the village of Trenčianska Teplá, they can still be found today on traditional folk costumes and household textiles. An inseparable part of the embroidery was the rooster – a guardian of the yard, a warder off of evil forces, and a herald of the new day. We transformed inspirations from local folk costumes into a jewelry collection created for one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia, Trenčín Castle, on the occasion of Trenčín being the European Capital of Culture 2026. Even what is local can be world-class.
